Welcome: From Polish, with Love

Hey folks! I hope you are all doing amazingly. I have had a little good come my way since my last post. I have a temporary computer. Yay! My Daddy is a tinkerer and is always building or working on something. I was super happy when he offered to loan me one of his computers. This baby is a bit of a dinosaur, but hey, it's working. I am still going to have some guest posts for a few days, because all of my swatches and such will have to be redone, since I can't rescue them from the horrible clutches of doom.

Our first guest post is from Dani the lovely blogger behind From Polish, with Love. I hope you enjoy her post. I am so thankful that she was uber eager to help me out.

Hi everyone! My name is Dani and I have a blog called From Polish, with Love and I've been following Jenna for some time now and when she had put out an SOS for bloggers to guest post due to her computer that decided to croak, I had to help a fellow blogger out! I just love how clean and bright her swatches are and I also love her make-up looks and crafts ( ie, her crocheting, she is super talented!! )

I'm going to share a bit of info about myself before I show you the beauty I am bringing you today :-) I'm a 27 year old SAHM to an awesome almost 2 /12 year old and am currently expecting ( any day now really ) our 2nd little boy! I've been married to my high school sweet heart for 5 years and we have been together for 11 years. I've been blogging for well over a year now and couldn't think of a better escape for me ( especially when my little one is napping ;-) ) I love indie polish and nail art but I do it all on my blog. I also do make-up looks EVERY now and then since I do have a passion for make-up but nail polish is really where my heart's at. Now enough about me, on to the polish!!

Today I'm bringing you Spectrum from the Sally Hansen HD collection. I picked this stunner up about 2 years ago at my local Rite Aid on CLEARANCE!! I think I paid $1 for it if not less. Now this is the first time I have used it! I can't believe I waited this long!!! I have my little boy to thank though because he decided to go "exploring" in my stash ( thank goodness he didn't open or break any ) and he comes running up to me holding this one and it struck me how gorgeous it was and why I hadn't swatched it yet!

Spectrum is an aqua blue with a slight purple foil duochrome shimmer if that makes any sense?? The formula on this baby was super thin and I needed 3 pretty substantial coats for maximum opacity. You can really see the purple shift in the bottle but on the nail is a different story. If you hold your hand at a certain angle you can see it but to capture it on the camera? That was a feat! I tried my best in the pictures below

You can see the purple shimmery shift in the bottle but not so much on the nail

What do you all think? I really do love this one even if I couldn't capture the complete beauty of it on camera. I picked up all of the other HD's that they had on clearance and am really looking forward to trying them out now that I've seen this one!

Thanks again to Jenna for having me and I look forward to having her back up and running!!!

OMG! Isn't that polish just beautiful! How did I manage not to snag any of these? Thank you so much Dani for helping me out and for your sweet comments. Best wishes on the upcoming special addition to your family.

I hope you guys enjoyed this lovely post, and please go check out Dani's Blog. Have a truly amazing day folks. And know, I will be back asap with loads of goodies to share with you guys!~Toodles!!!

Just My Luck...guest bloggers needed

Hey folks! I hope you are all having a nice week. Mine is less than great, but that's okay. I'll make it through, I always do. It just always seems like there is something going wrong. I have decided I have some serious stockpiles of bad Karma. Anyone want to borrow some?

My computer got an unexpected visit from the grim reaper. Sadly, it seems like it isn't going to be a cheap or easy fix. I am able to use my e-reader to check my email & Social Networks, but uploading pics and writing posts isn't so easy. Hubs will let me use his computer on occasion, but I don't want to bug him to much. While I am trying to get my computer situation worked out,I thought I would see if anyone would like to help with a guest post. If so please email me jenn@jennafroggy.com

On the other end of this unfortunate loss of my computer...I seriously need to raise some monies. I am selling some mystery packages of polish. Each package will contain 10 polishes, along with some other nail related goodies. They will cost $27 (US shipping included, international will cost more, but is doable). I can also combine packages for a discounted amount. Please email me for more details or if you would like to purchase one.

I also make and sell crocheted items. Anything from clothes and accessories to Plushies and other toys. I take custom orders. At current, I am caught up on all orders, so the wait time for your item is super short. Email me for any info. Thank you for always dealing with my issues.I will have you a real post very soon. Have an amazing day!~Toodles!!!

Stunning Times Three

PR Sample

Hey folks! I hope you are all doing great today. My day has been a bit on the worrisome side, but I’ll get through. Hubs is being my rock through all of this, and has been amazing.

Anyways…

I have three Stunning polishes from Zoya for you guys today. I am sure you will love them as much as I do.

GEDC3500GEDC3501GEDC3502GEDC3507

The first one I have for you today is Rocky, which has become my new favorite blue. It is so bright and poppy. This will be a sure fire favorite all summer. The formula was great and it was a pleasure to work with. these pictures are of two coats.  I really love this blue!

GEDC3528GEDC3529GEDC3531GEDC3536

Next up, Josie, a perfect smooth calming green. I’m not sure how to describe this green. It isn’t quite a grass green, but it is so perfect. You know I am crazy over green anyways, this one does not disappoint. The formula was just as great as the color…absolute perfection all around.

GEDC3932GEDC3933GEDC3934GEDC3936

Now for our final baby, Micky, a soft coral pink with just an ever so slight shimmer. I normally have no taste for corals, but have really been loving them lately. Micky is great. The slight shimmer gives it a little extra oomph, that you’re really not expecting. The formula, like the others, was completely perfect. No trouble with this beauty at all.

I really love these polishes. They are all beautiful, and have amazing formulas. Have you tried any polishes from the Stunning Collection? I hope you all have an amazing day!~Toodles!!!

Fun in the Sun

PR Sample

Hey guys! I hope you had a nice day. The kids and I had tons of fun together. We made peperoni pizza monkey bread and cinnamon monkey bread. Yeah, I just realized how unhealthy our food was today. I really need to pay more attention to getting us all eating healthier. We also watched loads of Eureka reruns.

I have two wicked awesome polishes for you from the Ruby Wing Summer Collection. The pictures on the left are indoors, while the ones on the right are in full sunlight.

GEDC4318GEDC4327GEDC4322GEDC4330

Groupie is my first beauty. Groupie is a very bright neon pink crème indoors, but when you expose it to the sun it turns into a deep raspberry pink crème. The formula is excellent and was almost a one coater. It was self leveling and very easy to work with.

GEDC4351GEDC4360GEDC4352GEDC4359

Next, I have Summer Love for you. Summer Love is a gorgeous bright orange crème that shifts into a burnt orange/brown in the sun. This one is a little slower changing, but the change is so drastic and awesome. I feel this one will be perfect for late summer. You still get your summer brights, but then you can also get a start on fall. The formula on this one was excellent, with two thins coats coverage was perfect.

I love both of these polishes. It was so much fun playing with them indoors and out. I have had other polishes in the past that changed in the sun, and most of the time they barely change at all. That is not the case with these. I know these will be on my nails frequently this summer. It is always so much fun to have a polish that changes. Your should really check out Ruby Wing, they have tons of solar color changing polishes.

What are your thoughts on color changing polishes? I hope you enjoyed these. Have a wonderful day!~Toodles!!!

KleanColor Matte Polishes from MyWholesaleFashion

PR Sample

Hey folks! You ready for an awesome weekend. I think I would like to sleep through it all, btu I have a feeling that won’t happen. It could have something to do with a hyper husband and very noisy kids, but that’s okay, cause I kinda like them a little bit.

I recently found out that KleanColor has started making some matte polishes. Squeee! I love matte and I love KleanColor, so that is one exciting collection of polishes. Today, I have three of them from MyWholesaleFashion.com, and I am super excited to share them with you…

GEDC4091GEDC4092GEDC4093GEDC4096

I will start off with Winter Waltz, the brightest white I have ever seen. Someone bleached this baby, lol. The formula was way thick and just not manageable at all. Since this was the first one I opened, I felt the disappointment set in. Luckily with the addition of some thinner this baby was ready to wear. In these pictures, I have two coats alone. I tried it over a base coat first, but then it was trying to dry like a crackle. Odd, huh?

Winter Waltz was also my basecoat for this 3D Nail Art Contest Entry. This white is so bright, I want to always use it for my white undies. *sigh

GEDC4110GEDC4111GEDC4112GEDC4113

Just Like Juliet is our next beauty, a gorgeous deep purple shimmer. This one had no problems at all with the formula and applied with real ease. Since I had the crackle like episode with Winter Waltz, I chose to go without a basecoat on all of these mattes.

GEDC4116GEDC4121

After wearing Just Like Juliet for a whole hour, I decided I wanted to play around with some topcoat. My original plan was going to be just a stripe up one side of the nails, but then somewhere along the way I decided I also wanted to do the tips. I love matte/shiny combos. they are such fun.

GEDC4144GEDC4145GEDC4146GEDC4149

Now for our final beauty, Lush Blue, a stunning cobalt blue. This one also had no formula issues. My only complaint is that Lush Blue makes the ridges in my nails much more prominent. Next time I will be trying it over a ridge filling basecoat. Hopefully, I won’t have that crackle issue again.

All three of these polishes can be found at MyWholesaleFashion.com, along with tons of other nail, beauty, and fashion items. They have some very cute KleanColor display sets, that I think would be awesome for a giveaway sometime. Oh, I have three more KleanColor Mattes to share with you guys very soon. Hope you are excited as I am. I hope you all have a wonderful day!~Toodles!!!
