A Year’s Challenge: Week 10: Polka Dot Nails

Heyhey! This week’s challenge was polka dots. Simple, right?

Not when you have my brain trying to over complicate everything. I do have a question though…

How often do you do your nails and think they look pretty good, then upload the pictures and think what a hot mess they are?

For me this happens every time. I think I have done a pretty good job, then bam!

Anyways…

For this week’s challenge, I had some SpaRitual polishes from Apothica needing some reviews and I though what better way to use them.

See, I’m not so sure this looks as good as I imagined it did, lol.

For my base, I used…

SpaRitual Spirit, which is a matte dark purple color. It was very easy to apply and went on great. As with all matte polishes I have met, it does show any flaws in the nail amplified. The thing about this polish that I like the most though…

It lasted forever. Mattes generally chip fairly quick, but not this one. I have had it on for 3 days and have no signs of wear at all!

For my dots I used…

SpaRitual Emerald City a turquoisey green creme, Swept Away a pastel pink creme, and Chill a light medium purple crème.

So what do you think of my polka dots? Was it a hit or a miss, lol?

Oh, one more thing before I go. I thought it would be nice to keep you updated on Boo’s nails.

This weekend he chose SpaRitual Body. He was actually what helped me decide to do this post as a review, lol.

I noticed with this one it seems to have some areas where it didn’t turn matte (Is this normal?). I thought that was a little odd, but overall I liked it. It has lasted as good as Spirit.

Boo wanted some stamping! Ain’t they cute?
